I began by creating 3 layers in illustrator. I named each layer after the images that would be assigned to that layer. I opened a photograph of a seahorse making sure it was on the photograph layer. I then selected the outline layer and using the pen tool drew the outline of the seahorse. I copied the arrow that I created for my instructions and pasted in the arrow layer. I drew a square and selected the text tool. I clicked inside the square shape with the text tool selected. I typed the words into the text in the shape of the square. I copied the square and typed the information into the second text box. This allowed the text to be the same size in both areas of my photograph.
If an object was on the wrong layer, I simply selected it, then I went to my layers window and moved the colored square to the layer I wished the object to reside on.
